Outside of Architecture and Design, Sean’s someone who is always looking for the next trail, the next challenge, or the next stretch of road to disappear down for a while.
Overlanding and Exploring are a big part of his life. It’s where he resets, thinks clearly and get back life balance.

Where it started
From growing up in Vancouver’s West End to working on some of BC’s most recognizable projects, Sean’s journey in Architecture has been shaped by curiosity, community, and a love for functional design that started early.

Surrounded by a constantly evolving city, Sean became fascinated by how neighbourhoods grow & adapt. That curiosity led him through drafting classes at King George Secondary, into the Architectural program at BCIT, and eventually into his first roles in residential design with Falcon Homes & Designs.

From there Sean’s path took him deeper into the industry. First with tenant improvements with Wensley Architecture, then into large scale commercial work with RK Arch Ltd. One of the most intense (and rewarding) experiences was spending 14 months on-site at the River Rock Casino & Resort as site liaison.

The team at RK Arch joined DAAP (Formerly Downs Archambault Architects + Planners). Here is where Sean had the opportunity to be part of the Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion, collaborating across firms and harnessing ReVIT long before it became one of the industry standards. During this time, Sean continued to expand his skillset through Emily Carr as well as the RAIC Syllabus.

After years spent on large commercial & institutional projects, Sean finds himself back to where it all began … the communities.
Single family homes. There’s something meaningful about designing the place where people return to recharge, reconnect and feel grounded at the end of the day. Home is where the heart is, and creating those personal, intentional spaces reminds Sean why he fell in love with Architecture in the first place.
